چکیده
Accurate modeling of the acoustic propagation in tubes varying cross section musical acoustics must include effects viscous and thermal boundary layers. Models viscothermal losses are classically written frequency domain. An approximate time-domain model is proposed which all physical parameters instrument, bore shape or wave celerity, explicit coefficients. The depends on absolute tabulated constants, only reflect that pipe axisymmetric. It can be understood as a telegrapher's equations augmented by an adjustable number auxiliary unknowns. A global energy dissipated. time discretization based variational approximation along with numerical experiments comparisons other models.

Time-stepping beyond CFL: a locally one-dimensional scheme for acoustic wave propagation
In this abstract, we present a case study in the application of a time-stepping method, unconstrained by the CFL condition, for computational acoustic wave propagation in the context of full waveform inversion. The numerical scheme is a locally one-dimensional (LOD) variant of alternating dimension implicit (ADI) method. The LOD method has a maximum time step that is restricted only by the Nyqu...
متن کاملReal-time Spectral Synthesis for Wind Instruments
A real-time spectral domain monophonic synthesizer is being developed. The idea is to achieve the sound quality given by samplers and improve the flexibility of control and model transitions between notes. The output sound is generated concatenating, transforming and synthesizing attacks and stationeries previously recorded by a real player that have been analyzed and stored in a database. A sp...

In this paper, one of the numerical solution method of one- particle, one dimensional timeindependentSchrodinger equation are presented that allows one to obtain accurate bound state eigenvalues and functions for an arbitrary potential energy function V(x).For each case, we draw eigen functions versus the related reduced variable for the correspondingenergies. The paper ended with a comparison ...
متن کاملAcoustic pulse reflectometry for the measurement of musical wind instruments
The bore profile and input impedance of a musical wind instrument provide valuable information about its acoustical properties. The time domain technique of acoustic pulse reflectometry can be used to measure the input impulse response of a tubular object, such as a wind instrument, from which both its bore profile and input impedance can be calculated. In this thesis, after a discussion of the...
متن کاملExplicit mapping of acoustic regimes for wind instruments
This paper proposes a methodology to map the various acoustic regimes of wind instruments. The maps can be generated in a multi-dimensional space consisting of design, control parameters, and initial conditions. The boundaries of the maps are obtained explicitly in terms of the parameters using a support vector machine (SVM) classifier as well as a dedicated adaptive sampling scheme. The approa...
